In 2007, Fernández Manzano was admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico and worked primarily in the fields of Labor, Administrative, Civil Law and Copyright Law until his appointment in January of 2013 by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to direct the Puerto Rico Film Commission and Corporation.
Fernández Manzano holds a Bachelor in Arts from the University of Puerto Rico (1985), a Master in Fine Arts/Cinematography from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California (1995) and a Juris Doctor/Cum Laude from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico (2007), he was an Associate Director of the Editorial Board of the Interamerican University School of Law Review.
Attorney Fernández Manzano is admitted to the practice of law before the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and its lowers courts.
